At Megan Chambers Law, we make the wills and estates process as seamless and easy as possible. Whether you need assistance with estate documentation, estate administration, or probate matters, we are here to guide you through each step with expertise and compassion.

Estate Documentation

Creating a solid foundation for your estate planning is essential. We offer a variety of estate documentation services (partnered with Oakley Family Law) that can help you protect your assets and ensure that your wishes are followed. Our estate planning services include:

  • Wills – A legally binding document outlining how your assets will be distributed.
  • Personal Directive – A document specifying your healthcare wishes if you become unable to make decisions.
  • Power of Attorney – Designating someone to handle your financial affairs should you become incapacitated.

We also offer estate packages that bundle these documents together for convenience and savings.

Support Through Estate Administration, Probate & the Estate Process

Dealing with the estate of a loved one can be a difficult and complex process. Our estate administration and probate services are designed to guide you through each step and ensure that everything is handled according to Alberta law.

We provide comprehensive legal support in filing for probate or estate administration, ensuring that all necessary steps are followed, including:

  • Application for Grant of Probate – Initiating the legal process to confirm the validity of the will and appoint the executor.
  • Property Distribution – Overseeing the distribution of assets according to the terms of the will or Alberta law.
  • Tax Filing & Clearance – Handling tax filings and obtaining clearance certificates from Revenue Canada to ensure that the estate is closed properly.

Our team will ensure that the administration of the estate is completed in a timely manner, with clear communication and thorough documentation.
